While Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) have not officially released changes to Medicare premiums and deductibles for 2026, the projected numbers from the Medicare Trustees Report are below. We will update this post when final numbers are confirmed likely in November 2025.
Medicare Part B Premiums and IRMAA for 2026
Medicare Part B is essential for medical coverage, and its standard monthly premium in 2026 is $206.50, a little over $25 dollars more than the standard premium in 2025. However, if you reported more than $109,001 in modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) on your 2024 tax return (or $218,001 for joint filers), you will pay a higher premium. This added charge is known as the Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). The Social Security Administration determines IRMAA based on your tax return, and if applicable, you will receive an IRMAA letter notifying you of the increased premium amount. The annual deductible for Part B beneficiaries is $288 in 2026, $31 more than in 2025.
